No. According to Buddhist scriptures, "In the Buddhist sect, every request is answered. Hub should understand the principles behind it, and seeking wealth should be done according to principles and laws. Burning incense and turning it into ashes represents selfless dedication, which is what Kongmen calls "generosity". This enlightens us that in seeking wealth and happiness from birth, we must first give up wealth and cultivate happiness. Wealth giving is the cause, and obtaining wealth is the result. Letting go is the cause, receiving is the result, and letting go is the best. So, a person's blessings are self cultivated, not bestowed upon you by Buddhas or Bodhisattvas. Kongmen often says, 'Life is made by oneself, and fortune is sought by oneself.' Does burning great incense bring great wealth? This is purely 'using the heart of an ordinary person to measure the belly of all Buddhas'. How could the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, who have achieved great enlightenment and compassion, care about you like ordinary beings and give you wealth separately? Of course not.
5、 What if someone insists on burning incense?
Temples are public places of movement, and generally restrict the burning of large incense. A slight mistake in burning large incense can cause burns to others, resulting in thick smoke that is not conducive to environmental protection and can also lead to fire hazards. In such cases, seeking blessings may not be successful, leading to endless sins. For believers who must burn incense, they can hand it over to the temple management staff and agree to lay it out for burning.
